  • 1 in 10 adults did not meet the physical activity guidelines in 2017-2018 (ABS, 2018).
  • 4 in 5 adults consumed alcohol in the previous year in 2019. 6.7% of people have consumed more than 11 standard drinks in one session at least one a month in 2019 (ABS, 2019).
  • 1 in 5 adults and 1 in 7 young people experienced a mental health disorder in the previous 12 months (ABS, 2022).

HEALTHY HEART WORKSHOP

Coronary heart disease was the leading cause of death for males and the second leading cause of death for females in 2021 (ABS, 2022). This workshop empowers your employees with nutrition and lifestyle changes they can make that will improve their health now and protect them in the future.

stress management workshop

This workshop highlights common causes of stress, how stress can affect our health, and how we can use diet and lifestyle changes to become more resilient at managing the effects stress has on our bodies.

mental health workshop

1 in 5 adults experienced a mental health disorder in 2021 (ABS, 2022). This workshop aims to highlight the benefits that proper nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes can have on our mental health. Public support options are highlighted and a gentle reminder that there is no stigma in seeking help. An opportunity for you to remind employees of your EAP if you have access to counselling options available as a benefit.

NUTRITION ESSENTIALS WORKSHOP

In this workshop we highlight the importance of healthy eating, examples of what this might look like, and the impacts nutrition has on our health and performance.

sleep hygiene workshop

We spend around one third of our lives sleeping, yet so many people report having poor quality sleep or trouble falling asleep. This workshop highlights why we need good quality rest to support our health and performance at work, and simple strategies to improve sleep onset and quality. This workshop can be tailored to support your organisations safety messaging.

immune health workshop

Keeping employees healthy and well means less absenteeism and scheduling concerns. This workshop educates employees about the foundations of immune health and gives simple diet and lifestyle changes they can incorporate to improve their resilience throughout the colds and flu season.

where are they held?

Workshops are held in Brisbane, QLD, at your place of business or a venue can be arranged for an additional fee. Online workshops can also be run via Zoom.

what to expect?

Workshops run best in small groups of around 15-20 employees to allow for questions and interaction, but can be larger, presentation style events if required.

They can be run as a quick “lunch and learn” through to half or full day workshops. All workshops can be tailored to include your organisation’s messaging or focus on pain points. Handouts or a post-event email are included to recap the key takeaways.

Equipment requirements

We require access to a large screen or projector to present slides to facilitate the workshop, an internet connection and ability to plug in our laptops.

who is presenting?

The lead presenter is Georgie, a degree-qualified Naturopath (BHSc, AdvDipNat, BBusMan, mNHAA) who is passionate about helping organisations improve their employees’ health. Other presenters will be used as required and also be qualified healthcare practitioners.

Beyond wellness workshops, we can tailor an annual program to your organisation’s needs. We can provide health tip newsletters, facilitate employee health challenges, weight loss programs and offer private consultations for employees such as diet reviews and health checks.
